composition post

Assignment description: In this assignment we we're told to go out and take pictures of things using the rule of thirds, depth of field, symmetry, texture, lines, patters, framing, balance, prospective, space and color. We used different apertures and shutter speeds.

Rule of thirds: This picture shows the rule of thirds because the subject is a little to the left of the picture.

Patterns: This photo shows pattern through out the whole image.

Symmetry: This photo shows the same thing on both sides, it shows the depth of the hall way.

Texture: In this picture you can see that there is texture and that are different parts put together that make a texture.

Depth of field: In this picture you can see the depth of the toy train, it shows the train plus what is under the glass table.

Lines: In this picture you can see the lines on the shades.

Framing: In this picture Bella is being framed so that she is the main focus of the image.

Balance: This picture in unbalanced because there are some leaves and there is some snow.

Prospective: This picture was taken from the bottom of a tree looking up, it chances the prospective at which you look at the tree.

Space: In this picture the you can see that the candle is off to the right giving the left side empty space.

Color: This picture was taken of christmas lights, the lights are all different colors.

What I learned: while doing this assignment I learned that composition is super important. You could have a great subject to photograph but if there is no composition then the image ends up being boring and flat.
